TRUST
I was invited by the Suntzu sound crew to throw down with them at their monthly party TRUST last night.
I can honestly say that I can't remember the last time I had this much fun dj'n
Their whole thing is about you being you and doing you the way it should be. A lot of folks don't understand that a dj isn't always playing what he or she personally likes but simply rocking a party and making sure the crowd is happy. The crowd that attend these parties are open minded to music and are there for one thing, to party!!! In other words these are not your average bottle service club douchebags...
What made this so much fun and great for me personally, was the fact I wasn't being bombarded by beckys requesting crapola all night long. I let loose with house, disco, latin, boogie etc. The ish I'm really know for... and of course some exclusives.
Hats off to Kid Hops and Suntzu sound for doing something great for our city.
J Justice warmed up the crowd to the point of them being very well ripened for me by the time I got on....
Which honestly made it rather easy for me. The crowd was wide open and ready for just about anything I threw down!

Rumble on the Ridge
I was the official dj this past weekend for the MMA Fights "Rumble on the Ridge".
I was there nice and early for sound check and to make sure everything was set up right and would roll smoothly.
The ring was set up the day before. It just so happened to be a 95 degree day today. Perfect right? Wrong!!! The problem with this elaborate set up was no one thought about the ring baking in the hot weather all day. By the the time the first fight took place the matt was smoldering hot except for the shady corners the fighters rest at. They entered the ring and stepped in their corners. The bell rang and they came out fighting no longer then ten seconds when their bare feet received 3rd degree burns and literally blistered the entire skin off the soles of their feet!!!! Nasty and unfortunate. It looked like fried chicken skin hanging off their heels.
The officials shut the event down as they iced the ring and got it into proper fighting order. This was a different type of event for me. I played the fighters intro music, as well as between rounds, etc. Very exciting. It's events like this that make my job fun, different and worthwhile.

B Day Weekend
I made it another year alive on planet earth. The older I get the more I realize how blessed I am and I'm thankful for everything I've got. I have tons of great friends and a wonderful family. I held my shindig at Trinity night club this year.
Of course I went out and bought a fresh fit for myself from head to toe.
Reserved a room on the top floor of hotel Max so I wouldn't have to worry about the drive home afterwards. Saturday afternoon was kinda hectic. I finally checked into my room at 6:45 and had 7:00 dinner reservations. The clock was ticking...
Met up with the homies for a bite to eat before hitting the venue to get the party started.
After eating way too much it was time to get to the club and make it happen. Caught a cab back to our hotel room where the limo was supposed to be waiting for us to find out it had broken down or something and would not be there. It was all good I just jumped in another cab.
We wasted no time in getting it going. I had the v.i.p section ropped off for me with bottles on ice. That was just for starters!
Guy did his thing on the decks and got the huge crowd ready for the bday boy!
Lumin from Miami was wrecking havoc in the "blue" room with a monster dj set of disco/house.
Tits clothing did a special collaboration tee with me for the second time and the ladies loved them...
House of cakes came through and set up the ill turntable cake!
The night seemed rather fast even though my watch read 3:30 am. I headed back to my room only to check out and drive back home. My plan of getting a room to not do this was out the window. I realized I spent a total of about 20 minutes in my hotel room. Oh well charge it to the game and on to the next! I would like to send a very special thanks to Guy, Trinity night club, Tits clothing and everyone that made this the success it was.
